The word "piano" comes from the Italian word "pianoforte," which means
"soft-loud." Although the piano is called upon often enough
to demonstrate its louder side, it is very often desired specifically
for its softer, gentler aspects.
Michael Sorg understands this concept very well, and has provided the
musical backdrop for hundreds of events, starting softly, then slowly
building the intensity of the performance, when appropriate, with the
increasing joviality of the guests!
